This unit's war record is unknown. After 1997, it was assigned to suppression of the Kurdish insurgency in southeastern Turkey and it is presently located in the vicinity of the city of Erzurum. This represents the limits of Turkish control in the area. The brigade has recently incorporated a number of local consripts to bring its numbers up, possibly for a renewed offensive against the Kurds.
