Borrego Springs is an unincorporated community in San Diego County, California, United States. Around 50 people still live in and around Borrego Springs. The Marines of 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment have taken control of the local branch of the San Diego County Library as a headquarters. One of 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment's M777 howitzers is setup in a local landmark, the traffic roundabout between the airport and downtown, known as Christmas Circle to provide fire support for local MilGov units.
The Anza-Borrego Desert State Park visitor's center is located west of town.
