Overview[]

The 1st Marine Division is the oldest, largest (active duty), and most decorated division in the United States Marine Corps representing a combat-ready force of more than 19,000 men and women. It is one of 3 active duty divisions in the Marine Corps today and is a multi-role, expeditionary ground combat force. Nicknamed "The Old Breed", it provides the ground combat element of the I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) and is headquartered in peacetime at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.

3rd Edition Deployment[]

1st Marine Division

The Divisional Unit Symbol
Due to the Nuclear Attacks from China and the uprising of Light Infantry Brigades in the area. The Commandant and the Joint Chiefs of Staff ordered the fall back of the 1st Marine Division to a less hostile area. After the President dissolved the Federal government MilGov assumed control over I MEF, and its subordinate commands. With most of its subordinate units scattered around the globe I MEF has had a tough time re-grouping in the United States (CONUS).
The division suffered minimal casualties when the Chinese nukes hit MCB Camp Pendleton and other locations around Los Angeles, California, because much of the Division was already deployed. The divisional headquarters has since relocated to Yuma, Arizona. The Division has been tasked with keeping the Southern United States and what was Northern Mexico under the control of MilGov. Most of the action in this area has been dealing with bandits, Chinese raiding parties and rogue military units, from both Mexico and United States.
• The 1st Marine Division is under the active control of MilGov
• The 1st Marine Division will follow orders from higher military authority.
• The 1st Marine Division will aid communities that have sworn allegiance to MilGov.
(For units under the control of CivGov, The Confederate States of America or New America see their pages.)
