Steyr AUG

The AUG (Army Universal Gun) uses a bullpup configuration to keep length down, and aluminium and plastic materials where possible, to keep down weight. The magazine is transparent, allowing the user to instantly see how much ammunition remains.

The AUG is designed to be easily adapted to use as an assault rifle, light machine gun, or sub-machine gun, simply by changing the barrel. The specs given below assume it is in use as an assault rifle.

It is in use with the following countries:

Argentina; Australia; Austria; Bolivia; Ecuador; Falkland Islands; Ireland; Luxembourg; Saudi Arabia; Tunisia; Pakistan; United States (Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) and New Zealand.
